Aquashow Park Portugal

Look forward to a great day out for the whole family with a visit to Aquashow Park. Just a few kilometres outside Quarteira, the park's in between Faro and Albufeira and takes around 25 minutes to get to by car from either resort.

After you arrive at the park, pick a sun bed by one of the pools or find a spot in the grass to set your things down. When you're ready to get stuck into the rides, have a go at adrenaline-pumping slides like Free Fall, which has a drop of over 30 metres. Have an adventure on the Water Coaster, or see who's fastest down Speed Race.

If you'd rather take things a bit slower, then float down the lazy river or relax in the wave pool. If you have young children, splash around in the sunshine as you go for a play in the mini water park. Make sure you take plenty of sun cream with you, as the weather can get really hot in the Algarve.

Your ticket includes full access to all the rides, pools, play areas and animal shows, as well as use of the sun beds. If you want an extra-special experience, you can even pay extra to meet a sea lion. As the park's open until as late as 7pm in August, it's ideal for spending the whole day there.

When you get hungry, have a picnic in the grass, or grab a snack from one of the kiosks. If you'd prefer something bigger, then sit down at the restaurant for some lunch. After an action-packed adventure at Aquashow Park, spend your next day relaxing at beautiful Praia de Marinha. Or head over to Tavira Island and soak up some sun on the spectacular Blue Flag beach.
